This class is for sailors moving out of Opti Race and into double-handed sailing. It is also a good option for high school sailors joinning WSA for the first time but with some sailing experience and an interest in racing. Students work as a team to develop and advance boat handling skills and race techniques. This program will have an emphasis on improving sailing skills for racing, rather than racing prowess. Sailors are encouraged to participate in NBYA regattas and potentially in other regional events. The course runs 3 days/week for weeks 1-4. |
